Wearing: A scarf around his neck Markings: Has a bit more chest fluff than normal for Vulpix; paws are slightly darker than normal Holding:
Met in New Bark Town (level 5) | September 24th, 2018 Polar is a very patient, very observant Pokemon that could tell from the get go his new trainer was very out of his element. He was more than happy to nose around in Shoto's bag to find his 'gear for him, carrying it over to the young man and encouraging him to go through it before leading him out of the house to get him going, basically just holding his hand without actually doing so since the little guy really can't. He's ready for adventure and is already charmed by his young trainer, sensing the lingering traces of the power that had resided in Shoto from his previous world and feeling a kinship to him because of the ice abilities he was able to harness as well. They've definitely got quite the adventure ahead of them but Polar isn't all that worried about it. He's ready to take on whatever trials await!
Met on Route 1 (level 8) | September 27th, 2018 One of the first Pokemon that Polar and Shoto battled when they reached the Kanto region, Shoto was impressed by the small bird's battle prowess and her desire to keep going even when she was down to just 2hp. Calling Polar back, Shoto caught the Fletchling and added her to his team, dubbing her Blaze after her eventual fire typing. She's quite pleased to be chosen by the young man and is determined to do him proud, ready to show off her abilities alongside her new companion Polar in the battles to come.
Wearing: Markings: Brown variant as seen here Holding:
Met on Route 2 (level 14) | September 30th, 2018 Shoto didn't pick this Pokemon. This Pokemon decided to challenge Polar while they were heading down Route 2 and when the fight was over? Decided that he was going to tag along. He doesn't take no for an answer and seems content to just play the boss role--when he's got the energy for it--giving Shoto looks that very clearly read 'Are you serious?' whenever he does something even the slightest bit questionable. (It's not his fault he's still getting use to this world, mutt.)
Naming him for a certain teacher from home because the resemblances are uncanny, Shoto is going to let him stick around for now. If nothing else it's helping him train Polar and Blaze. (And it does help having a Dark type around...)
While he definitely wasn't an intended addition, Mr. A has proven to be a rather valuable member of the team and a loyal companion. Like Current and the Vulpix duo, he doesn't need verbal commands to know what Shoto wants him to do and can follow slight gestures from the young man and expressions with ease. He's a very capable battler and while he can be somewhat lazy at times, the Poochyena--sorry, Mightyena, will go toe to toe with any wild Pokemon that dares to try and get the jump on them. He's extremely protective of a lot of the younger Pokemon (as much as he tries to hide it) and can often be found watching over Deku the Bulbasaur especially whenever the little Grass type is training with the other Pokemon.
Wearing: Markings: Has darker spots than normal; ears are the same color as his spots Holding:
Received from Pamela (egg) | September 30th, 2018 Hatched on October 7th, 018 Wanting to get himself a strong grass type to add to his team, Shoto got wind of a woman than specialized in said type and contacted her about purchasing an egg from her. His chosen Pokemon? A Bulbasaur.
The resulting young Pokemon was dubbed Deku because...well. This little guy acts just like his namesake. He's a happy-go lucky little thing that gets along well with the other three members of Shoto's team and is always ready to try his hardest in training despite being so "young". It's rare to see him in his Pokeball, usually always out and at Shoto's side though the young man will insist that he doesn't play favorites. (Lies.)
Wearing: Markings: One of it's ears has dark stripes down it; base of his tail is black Holding:
Met in Viridian Forest (level 15) | October 2nd, 2018 While Shoto has his preference towards Fire and Ice types, he knew that he needed to expand his team a bit and get a few outside of that realm as well which is why he decided to go for a Pikachu in the first place.
Just his luck that he ended up with this Pikachu.
Named for one of his classmates, Denki is a very...odd Pokemon. He's very enthusiastic about his abilities, so much so that he tends to overcharge himself and put himself out of battles before he can really do a whole lot. (Thus his name.) He's definitely a work in progress when it comes to battlers and seems to do best when he's paired up with another Pokemon, especially Current the Emolga, but despite this there's definitely potential there.
Shoto is patient with the little guy and they've been working hard since Denki joined the team, going as far as to even attempt a gym battle that...didn't quite go the way Shoto wanted but hey! Denki took his opponent out! (He just knocked himself out in the process is all.) One step at a time.
Wearing: Shoto's ranger hat Markings: Has tufted ears; black "coat" spreads down to her feet; smaller than breed standard Holding:
Met in Viridian Forest (level 20) | October 4th, 2018 Where Denki has absolutely no control of his abilities just yet, this little Emolga seems to have a knack for hers. Shoto encountered this Pokemon while training with his team in Viridian Forest and decided to pit his Pikachu against her to see if it would help Denki hone his skills at all. Instead, the Pikachu got his tail handed to him and the Emolga came out on top--but instead of running away after the battle she seemed intrigued to hang around, nagging at Denki and scolding him for his poor use of his powers.
Apparently Shoto had found his second electric type.
Dubbing her Current, this Emolga may be smaller than most of her kind but she's as brave as they come and always ready for what comes next. She's clearly decided that Denki the Pikachu is her student now and the pair can often be found together practicing their abilities and training together under Shoto's watchful eye.
Wearing: A scarf that compliments Polar's around her neck Markings: Tails are shorter than normal; toes are lighter colored, near white in color Holding:
Received from Ford Pines (egg) | September 30th, 2018 Hatched on October 7th, 2018 Where Polar is more easy going and more lenient towards those around him, Castor is the opposite; she's very much a hard ass that wants things done right, always staring down others until they do what she wants how she wants it and she doesn't like error. She's not really a playful Pokemon and is always dutifully at Shoto's side whenever the other's are messing around, content to wait for the next training session to start so she can jump right into things.
Despite her more serious nature Shoto goes try and get her to relax when he can, drawing her into his lap and petting her or just wrapping an arm around her to get her to relax. She will, given some time, but the moments are easily broken if any other Pokemon try to barge in on the private moments.
Wearing: Markings: Larger than breed standard; has faint spotting on his arms Holding:
Received from Ford Pines (egg) | September 30th, 2018 Hatched on October 7th, 2018 Another ice-type, Shoto couldn't resist the curious Pokemon after he read up on them a bit before contacting Ford for an egg. (They're basically an abominable tree monster...it's kind of great.) Permafrost, while quite large for his breed, isn't all that intimidating. He is very good about lowering himself down and even lying down so he's not towering over others, chattering away at other Pokemon about this and that like teens gossiping over coffee.
Get him into a battle situation though and his competitive streak shows itself and it becomes quite obvious that this Snover isn't just a strange little chatterbox. Permafrost hates to lose and will do everything he can to try and win no matter who his opponent is. He's still got a lot to learn and Shoto intends to work with him on strategies and even team battles but Permafrost has a lot of potential given his drive to be the best.
Aurorus ♂ | Glacier OT: Todoroki Shoto Level: 60 Type: Egg group: Monster Ability: Refrigerate Nature & Characteristic: Gentle; often lost in thought Moveset: Growl, Powder Snow, Light Screen, Ice Beam, Hyper Beam, Calm Mind, Toxic, Protect, Safeguard, Echoed Voice, Thunder Wave, Rock Throw, Icy Wind, Take Down, Mist, Aurora Beam, Ancient Power, Round, Avalanche, Hail, Nature Power, Encore, Blizzard, Freeze-Dry, Rock Smash*
Wearing: Markings: Head fins are larger than average Holding:
Received from Ford Pines (egg) | September 30th, 2018 Hatched on October 7th, 2018 A bit of a day-dreamer, the moment Glacier hatched Shoto knew he probably wasn't going to be a full-time battler and honestly? That's okay. The little Amaura is well liked by is entire team which is a good thing considering how much he seems to like taking care of others even if he is still young in comparison to all of them and Shoto intends to make him a bit of a buff/healer for the team as he grows. For now, Glacier acts as the cheer squad during training sessions and actively trains in doubles matches alongside some of Shoto's stronger Pokemon so he can get some levels in as well.
Met in Viridian Forest (level 18) | October 8th, 2018 On their last day in the forest, Shoto and his team encountered this very strange looking Nincada while taking a break near the edge of the forest itself. They hadn't been looking for a fight but apparently this Nincada was and she jumped them without any warning--which was pretty impressive in itself since Mr. A was generally pretty good at picking up the scent of any Pokemon around them. Quicker than Shoto was expecting the bug to be, the Nincada managed to out maneuver Polar and Blaze before finally meeting her defeat at Current's paws--though just barely.
It really ended in more of a stand-off with the Emolga having paralyzed the Nincada but not before said bug was able to get in a fair number of Sand Attacks as well. Needless to say Shoto had to step in and pull Current back and catch the shiny Nincada just to put an end to things since neither seemed to want to back down.
Dubbing the rough and tumble bug Akio, Shoto has found himself with a bit of a challenge with this Pokemon as she is completely uncooperative when it comes to training and battling. She wants nothing to do with his commands and when let out of her Pokeball she refuses to battle properly, usually just attempting to flee from battle. (Solely to be a brat.) It's going to take some time to earn this Nincada's trust but Shoto is determined to do it, wanting to prove himself to his newest team member at all costs.
Wearing: Markings: Larger than breed standard Holding:
Met on Mt. Moon (level 25) | October 20th, 2018 During the events of a "Freaky Friday", as they are apparently called by the off-worlders that inhabit Johto and Kanto, Shoto found himself with a Pokemon occupying his shadow for the majority of the day. The asshole of a ghost seemed delighted to cause him as much trouble as he could, tripping the young man up as he attempted to explore Mt. Moon and scaring off any Pokemon that Shoto and his Pokemon encountered. Mr. A and Current both tried to get rid of the nuisance but the Gengar was tricky and thwarted all their attempts until finally Denki the Pikachu was able to overload himself and the Gengar. With both of them knocked out Shoto took the opportunity to catch the annoying ghost, much to the Gengar's dismay and now he's got himself a ghost on his team.
Sneak doesn't really mind being on Shoto's team, if anything it means free food and a chance to show off to others who have to pay attention to him, but he loves to cause trouble for his new trainer every chance he gets. (He secretly adores the kid but he's not going to let him know that anytime soon!)
Wearing: Markings: Shaggier feathers than breed standard; looks similar to an American crow in colors and features Holding:
Met on Mt. Moon (level 22) | October 26th, 2018 Shoto hadn't intended to end up with a Murkrow but Mischief Night had other plans for him. This particular bird sought him out after following the boy to Cerulean City, watching as he and Hope started to prepare for the holiday and their trick-or-treating exploits. He finally approached when they began their adventures that night with a bag of his own held in his beak, falling in step with Shoto and his crew like he was always meant to be there and well, apparently he was.
Yami, as Shoto ended up calling him, is an overly serious Pokemon that doesn't seem to understand humor--which makes him a pretty good match for Shoto honestly. He prefers to focus on what's important, like training and traveling, and has a tendency to over think things at times. Yami is also very determined to learn how to talk and seems to have taken a liking to poetry especially, constantly trying to recite things though it often comes out as squawks rather than actual words. He'll eventual get it though. He just needs more practice!
Wearing: Markings: Has neck fluff and cheek fringe; eventual persian look x Holding:
Met on Mt. Moon (level 25) | October 26th, 2018 Just like Yami, Natsu the Alolan Meowth joined Shoto's crew on Mischief Night though he was much more forward about it. While the young man was taking a break--an attempting to hunt down Mr. A--the Meowth trotted up to him and plopped down in his lap, purring up a storm like they had been friends forever. Shoto had been a bit confused at first but warmed up to the feline over the course of the night, especially when he proved to be a rather fun loving and gentle soul--despite his fiery temper that popped up when Mr. A tried to thwart their attempts to stop his mischief.
Natsu, named after Shoto's brother, has settled in well with the group and loves to drape himself around his trainer's shoulders for a nap whenever he gets the chance. Several of Shoto's shirts have distinct claw tears in the shoulders now but...he can't be angry about it. He's grown pretty fond of cuddling with the little guy.
Met on Mt. Moon (level 18) | October 31st, 2018 Unknown to Shoto, he actually crossed paths with this Zangoose on Mt. Moon prior to heading out with Hope and she was so intrigued by him--and worried about him--that she followed them all the way to Cerulean. It wasn't until the events of Mischief Night and the resulting aftermath that she showed herself, scolding his rogue dark-types and fussing over Shoto a bit despite not actually being one of his Pokemon.
Surprise! You have a Zangoose now!
Definitely the more motherly of all of his Pokemon, Fumi is always fussing and worrying about Shoto and all the others in his team, trying to keep them out of trouble or harm's way and usually failing. She's not much of a battler yet but Shoto see's potential in her. He just has to work on her confidence is all.
Wearing: Markings: Has black markings around his eyes Holding:
Met on Route 6 (level 22) | November 5th, 2018 Shoto encountered this headstrong little bird while he was traveling just outside Vermilion City before setting out for the Sevii islands. It was Blaze that started the initial fight and while she was definitely stronger than the Starly he still tried his best and held his own for quite a bit, enough so that Blaze made it clear to her trainer she wanted him on the team. Shoto gave in and caught the little bird, adding yet another flying type to his team though at least this one wasn't going to be a fire-type as well.
Due to his markers and his overall temperament, Shoto was reminded of one of his friends from home and ended up calling the little guy Ingenium. The Starly bears his name proudly and is often found in Blaze's company, the pair training together constantly to get the Starly up to par with the rest of the team so he can hopefully evolve within the coming month and go toe to toe with his fellow flying type the next time they battle properly.
Wearing: Markings: Skull is cracked in several places and shoddily patched; has faint scarring all over it's paws Holding:
Met on Kindle Road (level 39) | November 10th, 2018 Everything Shoto had heard about Cubones was proven wrong by this one. While traveling down Kindle Road the young man took a bone club to the head because of this particular Pokemon, simply because the little guy was bored and wanted some amusement, and it resulted in a pretty nasty fight between the Cubone and Polar the Vulpix. Shoto was--though he hated to admit it--impressed by the Cubone's resolve and natural skill and once Polar had worn the ground type down enough he managed to get a throw in with a Great Ball he had purchased back in Vermillion City...only for the little asshole to break out of it.
Six normal Pokeballs later and Shoto had himself a Cubone that he was starting to regret wasting time on. But by that point he was determined to catch the little asshole.
Boulder, and let it be known he HATES his name, is a pretty easy going little guy but oh is he a little shit underneath that front he puts up. He has a knack for waiting for the exact right moment to strike and loves to play pranks and attack others when they aren't expecting it just because he can. He's a little heathen but Shoto is determined to reign him in.
After traveling around the Sevii Islands for a bit Boulder--sorry, Scorch as he's now called, decided that it was time to pull one over on Shoto. Rather than evolving into a normal Marowak, this little bastard decided to take an entirely different route and evolved into the Alolan variant--a Fire/Ghost type rather than a Ground type. Needless to say the name Boulder wasn't all that fitting and the Marowak demanded the name Scorch after a bit of an argument with his trainer and well, here they are.
Seel ♀ | Drift OT: Todoroki Shoto Level: 27 Type: Egg group: Water 1/Field Ability: Thick Fat Nature & Characteristic: Mild; quick tempered Moveset: Headbutt, Growl, Signal Beam, Icy Wind, Water Pulse, Water Sport, Encore, Ice Shard, Rest, Aqua Ring, Aurora Beam
Wearing: Markings: Has a faint blue tinge to her underbelly Holding:
Received from Yuuko (egg) | November 14th, 2018 Hatched on November 21st, 2018 While pretty easy to get along with, one can definitely tell that this little girl has a very demanding Swanna for a father because the littlest things can set her off. She is extremely picky about foods and toys, not caring much for anything that is sweet and sour when it comes to food or feather-like in texture when it comes to toys. Give her anything else and Drift will pitch a fit and soak down everything just to get her point across.
She's the first Pokemon that Shoto's had to deal with that's a real brat--sure he has other's that are troublemakers but Drift is just an outright terrible toddler--but he's learning to adapt to what she likes and how to keep her happy. Mr. A seems to be really good at keeping her at ease and putting a stop to her tantrums when she gets going, Drift responding surprisingly well to the Mightyena's gruff tactics.
Despite her temperament most of the time, Drift can be a sweetheart when she wants to be and has potential to be a strong battler if Shoto can nudge her in the right direction. Right now it's just a matter of giving her the right role models. (And keeping her away from Pokemon like Sneak.)
Wearing: Markings: Her whiskers are frayed on the ends; is smaller than breed standard; has extra spots on all of her fins Holding:
Met on Two Island - Cape Brink (level 25) | November 16th, 2018 After a discussion with Armin, Shoto had been on the lookout for a Barboach for quite some time and finally got the opportunity to catch one when he reached Two Island in the Sevii Islands. This particular Barboach was a hard one to get down, putting up a good fight against Shoto's team and breaking out of two Pokeballs before the young man was finally about to get catch her. Once he had her, the first thing he did was make the trek back to the Pokemon Center to heal her up before letting her out of her Pokeball to properly introduce himself and the rest of his Pokemon.
Deciding on the name Fortis for his new Pokemon, Shoto was fond of her from the get go and she was pretty quick to warm to him as well. She also seems to be quite fond of Permafrost the Snover and Glacier the Amaura, two of Shoto's younger Pokemon, and is quite content to spend her time off from training in their company. She's definitely got a fighter's spirit and can last quite awhile in battle, fully prepared to help Shoto and his team in their quest to take on all the gyms in Kanto before heading on to the Johto Region.
Wearing: Markings: Has markings similar to those of a ribbon seal (still in normal spheal colors) Holding:
Met on Three Island - Bond Bridge (level 30) | November 20th, 2018 Somehow Shoto just seems to attract little assholes. First it was Boulder and then it was Boreal who decided that it was going to be a lot of fun spitting water and slush at the young man and his team while they were traveling along Bond Bridge. Blaze and Castor managed to keep the party mostly dry but in the end Shoto broke down and challenged the annoying Spheal to a battle. (Yeah, that's right, he called the fat little thing out and challenged him outright.)
The battle wasn't all that difficult, mostly because the Spheal seemed to want to lose, and it turns out that the little shit had been waiting for someone to catch him...because then he'd have a constant food source.
So now Shoto has a chubby little Spheal that eats non-stop (he should have been born a Snorlax) and loves to cause trouble right alongside Sneak and Boulder, barrel rolling into others and making small ice patches all over the place to trip others up. Boreal, as Shoto has started calling him, seems to have a bit of a crush on Polar who wants absolutely nothing to do with him.
Met during Fourth Wall (level 25) | November 23rd, 2018 Rime is a sassy little guy that absolutely adores Shoto because honestly, how can you not?! The guy is like a humanized Pokemon!! A Fire AND Ice type! That's the coolest thing in the world! This little Bergmite ended up with Shoto during the strange weekend that occurred at the end of November and is definitely his #1 fan (though Newton the Psyduck is apparently a contender for the position as well), dutifully following him around and making sure everyone is aware of how absolutely awesome Shoto is! Anyone that tries to say otherwise will find themselves on the receiving end of a lot of sass and snark, Rime definitely a "My way or the highway" type of Pokemon.
Because he adores Shoto so much, he wants to do his best for his new trainer and it's a good thing he's got such good endurance because this little guy goes non-stop! He will train until Shoto himself calls it a day--which is definitely saying something because Shoto is the type to go for hours on end if they aren't careful--and is the first Pokemon up in the morning itching to get started. He's not the typical type of Pokemon one would see on most teams so he has a lot to prove!
Wearing: Markings: A scrappy little shit that looks like he'll rip your face off; has longer claws than breed standard; darker coloration than normal; shaggier, spikier fur than normal Holding:
Met during Fourth Wall (level 25) | November 25th, 2018 Shoto is about 99% sure that Bakugo Katsuki showed up during the really strange weekend that happened during the end of November and was turned into a Cyndaquil because this little shit acts just like him.
He crossed paths with this asshole of a Cyndaquil while trying to escape from Mothra a Volcarona and the little hellspawn tried to attack him while the GIANT GODDAMN MOTH DEMON was hot on their tail. It was definitely an adventure and it took the combined efforts of all six Pokemon that Shoto had with him at the time to tame the Cyndaquil before Shoto could finally get him into a Pokeball...only to realize that he had just caught it which meant he was now stuck with it.
Great.
Naming it Lem ("Lord Explosion Murder"), Shoto...has yet to actually attempt to train this little guy yet because honestly he's worried that Lem is going to attack his other Pokemon out of pure fury and rage. Anytime the Cyndaquil is out all of the others give him a very wide berth, though Deku the Bulbasaur has tried to approach him only to be picked up by Mr. A the Mightyena and carried away when the Cyndaquil looked ready to explode. It's a giant work in progress.
Met on Four Island - Icefall Cave (level 36) | December 2nd, 2018 Where some of Shoto's recent team additions have been loud and excitable, Crystalline is the exact opposite. She's calm and composed, a level headed Pokemon that is very good at analyzing situations and figuring out a solution. She's not standoffish like Castor can be, more open to engaging with the other Pokemon on Shoto's team, but she's very quiet, rarely making a sound (actually, she doesn't ever make a sound...) and seems content to settle by Shoto's side to listen to him read whenever he feels inclined to read out loud. (Something he's taken to doing for some of his more studious Pokemon.)
Crystalline has proven to be a bit of a brick wall in battle and Shoto has high hopes that she'll be a very good line of defense in his strategies for battles to come. For now he's content to keep training her, mind and body, while she settles into the team. (Shoto has recently noticed that she seems to enjoy showering Lem with a small blizzard whenever he starts throwing a fit.)
Met on Cinnabar Island (level 56) | January 21st, 2019 Kasuka is a bit of an oddity which is fitting given that it's very existence is odd. They are the evolutionary counterpart to Akio the Ninjask and Shoto worked carefully with the then Nincada to make sure that, when she did evolve, that the evolution resulted in both a Ninjask and a Shedinja. Where Akio is very serious and always looking for a fight, Kasuka is more quiet and reserved, hovering just over Shoto's shoulder like a little guardian. Both bugs are sore losers though and throw themselves into battles to prove that they are worthy members of their trainer's team.
Shoto and Kasuka have a much stronger bond than Shoto and Akio do, not that the latter dislike one another it's just that the former seem to have more compatible personalities. There's definitely a bond between all three though, with Kasuka being the glue that holds them all together and the Shedinja does what they can to help Akio see that Shoto does have potential to be something amazing--just like both of them do.
Met on Cinnabar Island (level 31) | January 21st, 2019 During his first visit to Cinnabar Island Shoto encountered this odd little Pokémon while she was gathering some berries. He accidentally spooked her and proceeded to spend the next hour trying to make it up to her which also ended up being when he first encountered Kame the Torkoal. The resulting attempts to tame said tortoise seemed to intrigued the shiny Chimchar enough that she ended up joining in the efforts and at the end of the venture Shoto found himself with a new companion who, while a little bit on the jumpy side, definitely had a spark for adventure.
Dubbing her Macaque, this little Chimchar definitely wants to learn everything she can and be a strong Pokémon like so many of Shoto's others! She's already developed a strong bond with Rime the Bergmite and Deku the Ivysaur, usually found in their company and getting up to some sort of trouble--though usually their just trying to find adventure of some sort.

Shoto didn't pick this Pokemon.

Wanting to get himself a strong grass type to add to his team, Shoto got wind of a woman than specialized in said type and contacted her about purchasing an egg from her.
(Lies.)

While Shoto has his preference towards Fire and Ice types, he knew that he needed to expand his team a bit and get a few outside of that realm as well which is why he decided to go for a Pikachu in the first place.
❆ Current the Emolga
Emolga ♀ | Current

Nature & Characteristic: Bold; good endurance
Moveset: Thunder Shock, Quick Attack, Tail Whip, Charge, Spark, Nuzzle, Pursuit, Double Team, Shock Wave, Electroball, Acrobatics, Light Screen, Encore, Volt Switch, Agility, Discharge
Wearing: Shoto's ranger hat
Markings: Has tufted ears; black "coat" spreads down to her feet; smaller than breed standard

Met in Viridian Forest (level 20) | October 4th, 2018
Where Denki has absolutely no control of his abilities just yet, this little Emolga seems to have a knack for hers.

Where Polar is more easy going and more lenient towards those around him, Castor is the opposite; she's very much a hard ass that wants things done right, always staring down others until they do what she wants how she wants it and she doesn't like error.

Another ice-type, Shoto couldn't resist the curious Pokemon after he read up on them a bit before contacting Ford for an egg.

A bit of a day-dreamer, the moment Glacier hatched Shoto knew he probably wasn't going to be a full-time battler and honestly? That's okay. The little Amaura is well liked by is entire team which is a good thing considering how much he seems to like taking care of others even if he is still young in comparison to all of them and Shoto intends to make him a bit of a buff/healer for the team as he grows. For now, Glacier acts as the cheer squad during training sessions and actively trains in doubles matches alongside some of Shoto's stronger Pokemon so he can get some levels in as well.

On their last day in the forest, Shoto and his team encountered this very strange looking Nincada while taking a break near the edge of the forest itself.

During the events of a "Freaky Friday", as they are apparently called by the off-worlders that inhabit Johto and Kanto, Shoto found himself with a Pokemon occupying his shadow for the majority of the day.
❆ Yami the Murkrow
Murkrow ♂ | Yami

Nature & Characteristic: Serious; often lost in thought
Moveset: Peck, Astonish, Pursuit, Haze, Wing Attack, Night Shade, Assurance, Taunt, Feint Attack, Mean Look, Foul Play, Tailwind
Wearing:
Markings: Shaggier feathers than breed standard; looks similar to an American crow in colors and features

Met on Mt. Moon (level 22) | October 26th, 2018
Shoto hadn't intended to end up with a Murkrow but Mischief Night had other plans for him.

Just like Yami, Natsu the Alolan Meowth joined Shoto's crew on Mischief Night though he was much more forward about it.

Unknown to Shoto, he actually crossed paths with this Zangoose on Mt.

Shoto encountered this headstrong little bird while he was traveling just outside Vermilion City before setting out for the Sevii islands.

Everything Shoto had heard about Cubones was proven wrong by this one.

While pretty easy to get along with, one can definitely tell that this little girl has a very demanding Swanna for a father because the littlest things can set her off.

After a discussion with Armin, Shoto had been on the lookout for a Barboach for quite some time and finally got the opportunity to catch one when he reached Two Island in the Sevii Islands.

Somehow Shoto just seems to attract little assholes.

Rime is a sassy little guy that absolutely adores Shoto because honestly, how can you not?!

Shoto is about 99% sure that Bakugo Katsuki showed up during the really strange weekend that happened during the end of November and was turned into a Cyndaquil because this little shit acts just like him.
He crossed paths with this asshole of a Cyndaquil while trying to escape from
Mothraa Volcarona and the little hellspawn tried to attack him while the GIANT GODDAMN MOTH DEMON was hot on their tail. It was definitely an adventure and it took the combined efforts of all six Pokemon that Shoto had with him at the time to tame the Cyndaquil before Shoto could finally get him into a Pokeball...only to realize that he had just caught it which meant he was now stuck with it.Great.

Where some of Shoto's recent team additions have been loud and excitable, Crystalline is the exact opposite.

Kasuka is a bit of an oddity which is fitting given that it's very existence is odd.

During his first visit to Cinnabar Island Shoto encountered this odd little Pokémon while she was gathering some berries.
